Sometimes you come across a girl who is so amazingly stylish that they become your unofficial style muse. I have a few friends who fit the bill and I not so secretly stalk their outfits and try and steal cues that I can use myself. Alexa Chung is one of these girls. She manages to pair up-to-there cutoffs with a shiny satin blouse and somehow it works--and spawns a thousand copycats. So since she's designed a line of clothes for Madewell, J. Crew's supremely affordable little sister, everyone looking for a little guidance is making a beeline to the store. Her peter pan colors remind me a bit too much of my elementary school uniform but the other princess details are just right for a few inexpensive pieces to add to other basics for fall.
