You've heard the style rule (maybe it was Tim Gunn barking orders at you through the TV), "Never wear horizontal stripes." Ever. But honestly, take a quick look at this pic and look how chic it can look. I am not saying you should wear tight pants with horizontal stripes. That would just be tragic. But a cute, a-line skirt, plus mismatched but somehow they still work striped shoes, it looks school-girly and adorable. I think as long as it's accessories you're safe and if you're going to wear striped apparel, make sure the design doesn't fit too tightly or comes too close to the skin. Keep it loose and you're good to go.
