SPOTTED: Alexander Wang for Pre-Fall '12
For pre-Fall Alexander Wang did what he does best and I can't stop looking at the brilliant way he played with proportions. I haven't heard his name as much as in years past but this smaller collection shows just how talented he really is. The red dress is a classic example of his bodycon draping that women love. I personally can't wear a dress like this, but when a woman can, the effect is jaw-dropping. And the modern ode to women's suiting with sheer layers and blends and fits and cuts that make you look twice and wonder where one piece of fabric ends and the other begins. It's just so smart. I really love these pieces and can't wait to see what's next.
