Leather + Lace Meet Naughty + Nice

When it comes to wearing femme details, like bows, lace, and the like, I really think it's just too sweet when you don't toughen it up. These booties are the perfect example. The lace is sweet and might be boring on its own. But when you add some studs, it's got that biker appeal. Those gold studs are an awesome contrast to the sweetness of the lace and the bow and make them all of a sudden an essential accessory for any look, not just something ladylike. It's an easy solution: just make sure to add elements of "tough" to something that's over the top sweet. Add your own studs, bring in some black leather (in a jacket or belt), and keep things interesting. You never want to do the expected.
